Hi all - first post.
OK, my 91 civic sedan has a slight oil leak from under the distributor cap. There is no oil inside the cap - I replaced cap and rotor when got the car a year ago. O-ring was replaced at dealer. Still leaking, so took it back and they said it was the distributor housing leaking. Took to other garage, they also say the housing is leaking, and need a new housing. What does this actually mean? I'm not clear on terminology here - could somebody please explain? Is needing a new housing the same as needing a new distributor? What is the difference between "distributor" and "distributor housing"? I'm sure I'll have more follow-up q's as this evolves... Thank you! |
