Default Lower ball joint replacement for 94 Accord

My lower ball joint snapped the other day and I couldn't get the rotor and hub off to even begin taking out the old ball joint. Is there a trick to it, reverse threaded or something?

The manual says to raise the locking tab on the 24mm spindle nut, then remove the nut, but I don't believe I have a spindle nut or locking tab and it's definitely not a 24mm nut - more like 36mm.

I tried heating it up with a torch, some penetrating lubricant, an air impact driver (240 psi torque), a ratchet wrench with steel tube on the end (we wrenched on it so hard that it broke the ratchet). Still nothing.

The bolts for the hub assembly are equally stuck. We tried all of the above methods on those bolts, and now three of the four are rounded off completely. Somebody help, please!
