It is getting harder and harder to shift out of park. I am afraid I will be stranded somewhere. I read that there is a release for the shifter but I can't find it. I did not get a manual when I bought the vehicle used and I can't find a free one for download.
Thanks in advance, Chris |

The override is usually right next to the shifter...Usually has a plastic cover on it that you pop off with the key or some other object, and then you stick the key in there to override the lock. Thats usually the only place for it. If you dont see it anywhere near the shifter let me know and i can investigate further, but it should just be covered by a plastic cap somehwere near the shifter.
