The code for that will show up in an OBD II code reader when you have it checked. You can buy a code reader for about $70. You can have a shop do the check for about the same price and they can do the repair for whatever the rate is. Some auto part stores will codecheck for free.

Your speedometer will either not work or will randomly quit working or will randomly drop for a second. you may not throw a check engine light... it may throw a "soft" engine code, which wont illuminate the light, if your speedometer is having problems, go to a shop for assistance in diagnosis, most do free diagnostics, and will check for a code for the speed sensor.
