I'm looking to get a 96-00 Civic coupe,is it really worth it to get a civic si over an ex?

In terms of power yes it is. But the 1999-2000 Si doesn't have power steering so if you enjoy that luxury then get the EX and thieves tend to target Si's the most. Those are the only 2 downsides I can think of.

The guy above me talking about the si not having power steering, i have never heard of that. there really isnt to much different motor wise. the both have good motors. i would go for the si. its a nicer, sportier look.Body Kits

It really depends on what you want. The Si is the enthusiasts choice: manual transmission, more power, better handling and brakes. The EX is the more "grownup" choice: slightly more subdued styling, automatic transmission available, and you can get the EX with leather seats as well. And contrary to what the guy who answered first says, the only Civics that don't have power steering standard are the DX with the manual transmission, and the CX hatch. Happy hunting!
