because they're v6 can't beat them and they're V8 will run on par or lose to them badly. so they have to call them ricer to make up for their lost.

Because of the vast majority of cheap owners who want to be Fast & The Furious so they go out and buy the cheapest "performance" parts they can find or make their own. Then they add on a big *** spoiler and an ugly body kit and give the car some ugly bright paint job. Even worse is they stick performance brand-name stickers on their cars for parts they usually don't have or never plan on getting. Then they race every family car and station wagon that pulls up next to them and try to brag about it.

That's about 70% of Civic owners.

The other 30% which is a mixture of real tuners that know how to get huge power out of a small 4-cyl and people who just drive the car from A to B who have to pay the price because of the retards who don't know anything about cars.

Then there's the ignorant group that hate them because their "superior" V6 or V8 lost to a 4-Cyl and they don't understand why nor even want to learn why so instead they go around hating.

Dealing with being labeled as a Ricer is what every real import tuner has to face. Just have to ignore them and prove them wrong when the right time comes.

Edit: And as a side note; ANY car can be Riced. It just all depends on it's owner.

unfortunately for the honda civic too many people have gone the ricey route. It has drawn a bad name for itself and their drivers.

Too break it down, it is pretty much a stereotype. The people who riced out the civic made a bad name for the real tuners.

Like a few black people do bad things, so people deem their whole population as bad.

In both cases ignorance gets the better of the world. so even if you are a real tuner the civic is a hard car to earn respect for.
