I RECENTLY GOT A D15B7 BLOCK WHICH REPLACED MY DAMAGED D16Y8 IN 97 CIVIC EX AND USED MY D16Y8 HEAD. I AM USING MY ORIGINAL HEAD, HARNESS, AND ECU. IT STARTS SOMETIMES AND RUNS FOR ABOUT 45 SECS.
IT SOUNDS LIKE A TIMING PROBLEM. WHEN I ALIGNED MY CAM SHAFT SPROCKET AND CRANK SHAFT SPROCKET TO TDC MY DISTRIBUTOR ROTOR IS PAST THE NO. 1 SPARK PLUG. MY ECU IS A P2P DO I NEED TO CHANGE MY ECU?

I tried resetting my crankshaft and camshaft to TDC, but my rotor does not seem to be at the number one spark plug but slightly pass it. Can any body please explain to me how to get my car started.
