i don't get why you want to spend 4k more just to get the ex-l with nav

just get the DX-G or sport trim

if you are looking for space pick the accord

if space is not a matter ,get the civic

civic fit you better, you are 18 , not 40+

althought my cousin bough a 2009 accord after his civic was totaled

(not his fault though) she is 25 or so

hum.. a month ago my mum rented a 09 civic DX-G for a day and i test drove it for half an hour , and i totally liked it, very good feel, steering feel is very good, braking is strong and very accurate

and the smoothness of the engine is just what honda is good at

don't worry about small engine in civic, that 1.8 is not a slow engine

get the honda civic bro save yourself 4-6k , unless space is a need

oh and save $$ from gas too

accord drink more gas than civic

here is the math

accord use about 10L per 100km in city

civic use about 8.5L per 100 in city

so when you hit 100,000km

civic will save you about 1500L of gas

which in total of a life span of civic would save you about 4000L of gas or use $5000 less on gas

OH and the interior is very nice too

You cant go wrong with any Honda! skip on the navigation system. It's a waste of money. You can add bluetooth and navigation systems to your car alot cheaper than what honda sells them for. Look at the Honda civic SI. I think you would like it!

You should go with the EX-L. I was in the market for an LX, but because of limited availability of manual transmissions I went with the EX, and I'm SO glad I did! (tho I wish I had gotten the EX-L now)

In my opinion, I would rather get the top trim on lower model than the basic trim on the next model up. All those little luxuries (like audio controls on the wheel, sun roof, better speakers) really make you feel like you're in a nicer car. So my guess is you'd be happier in a nice Civic than a basic Accord.

Also the Civic has a pretty unique dashboard style, whereas the Accord has a more standard one. I love the Civic's dash, but some people don't, so that would probably be a pretty significant factor in your decision.

P.S. The civic also gets better mileage, in case that's a factor.
