Default at wat rpm does ur vtec kicks in?

mine is stock it kicks in at 5k. how to go about readjusting it ?

it begins to come in at about 3500 and you have full VTEC over 4500 rpm. VTEC is driven by oil pressure through a solenoid so there's not really any way to "trick it" to come in earlier. Don't know why you would wan tto do that either as VTEC alters the valve and spark timing and if you brought it in earilier you'd be running too much advance and cause the engine to bog.

If depends on the power required. My old 98 Accord VTEC used to kick in at 79mph with just me in the car, but at 75mph when I had passengers.















The engine note changes slightly, so if you listen for it and cruise just 1mph below the change you can save a lot of gas, and power robbing carbon build up on the valves and cylinder head.















But it's impossible to tell on my 07 Accord VTEC

there is one way only, to get the vtec kicks early and is get a shiped ecu or get yours shiped for arround 60 dls, search in craiglist there is a couple of (tech) that can do it for you
