Default is 150,000 miles too much for a 2002 accord?

how long will it last me and how much is it for a new engine or transmission

i think that you should keep an eye out for a different car, that car is too new to have so many miles on it. it has either been driven hard in stop-n-go traffic or it has been on long distance trips a few times and that is alot of wear and tear on an engine and transmission. good luck

depends on what type of miles were put on the car. if it was a 17 year old who never changed the oil and raced it like he was a nascar driver then obviously it would be too much. if it was driven like by an old lady who always had every service done to the car then that's a completely other story... generally city driven cars have more abuse and highway driven cars less. you can tell if the 150k miles is highway by the chips on the front of the hood. my last honda civic lasted well into the 220k range before i changed the engine (spent about 2k engine and tranny). engine and tranny prices will vary with source and outlet. you can always get a 30 60 or 90 day warranty from where ever you buy it and have it installed.

Honda accords are made very very dependable. 150,000 is alot of miles, but 99% of hondas if taken care of make it well over 300,000. If you are a person that gets nervous about problems when cars get higher mileage then it would be a good idea to maybe look for a trade in, but in the mean time dont worry to much honda's are very long lasting and dependable.
