Default would this civic mod work?

i have an engine from a saab 900 and i was looking over it with my dad yesterday, the engine's pretty much shot but the turbo assembly with the cooler and everything is brand new, what I'm wondering is would it be possible to mount this on my civic? I'm sure it would take some space making n fabrication of pipes and whatnot but would it be more trouble than it's worth? Would it even work? Would i be better off just getting a turbo kit thats made for my model? I think it'd be pretty cool if it'd work though

it should fit in theory, the turbo itself and the cooler should fit on various engines you would have to make custom tubing and mounts etc. the civic's usually have plenty of space under the bonnet for turbo's and mods so shouldn't have too big an issue there, heres a picture of the b16/b18 engine with a BIG turbo,

like fitting an engine, anything can be made to go into anything with enough modification, although cant guarantee that the saab turbo would run properly on the civic, running safe psi etc. turbo kit for your civic would vary from around 400-700 and would be safe for the engine (to an extent, may need forged pistons etc). simply bolting a turbo on can cause issues if the host engine isnt capable of handling the increased pressure, the engine and ECU would need to be set to run the turbo properly, i know someone with a toyota starlet turbo who's put a skyline turbo on and he's blown up 3 engines!

but yes it would be cool if it worked, check this civic out, obviously had more than just a turbo but....fast!!

possibly. but you have to do alot of test fabrication to make sure your engine is even in good enough shape to handle this.
