Default Honda Civic still reads 15% oil after oil change.?

My Honda Civic ('07 Coupe) was reading 15% oil and the service light was on. So I took it in for an oil change and the service light still comes up and it is still reading 15% oil. Did they not change the oil or is it just a technical problem?

Humm you haven't been reading your Honda manual I can see. Well anyways the 2006+ Honda Civic's use an Oil Life Indicator. When you change the oil you have to manually reset the Oil Life back to 100%. If you went to a Honda dealer they would automatically know to reset it for you, but odds are you went to some local place that just changes the oil and doesn't know squat about the car. If you go to the Honda dealer they will reset it for free for you and it only takes about 30 seconds so you might as well just do it yourself.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.

2. Press the SEL/RESET button repeatedly until the engine oil life indicator is displayed.

3. Press the SEL/RESET button for about 10 seconds. The engine oil life and the maintenance item code(s) will blink.

4. Press the SEL/RESET button for more than 5 seconds. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100%.

Yes they changed the oil they just didn't reset the meter, just go back and have them reset it, free of charge.
