Default Honda Finance seems to think that I owe them money. Is there something I can do?

I leased a car through Honda Canada Finance. When I returned the car I was told to make a few small repairs, which I did through a reputable/approved body shop (minor scratches, etc. and submitted the receipts to Honda Finance.)

Now, 7 months later, Honda is charging me, in full, for all of the repairs. Is there any way that I can get out of this?

Do you still have your own proof the repairs were done to the satisfaction of Honda Finance? Did you keep copies of the repair receipts? Did someone at Honda inspect and "sign off" on the repairs when you returned the car and submitted the paperwork? If so, did you keep copies of that paperwork? Etc.

If the answer is yes, it should be easy to fight it.

If the answers are no, it's your word against theirs - never a good spot to be in.
