Default I have a 94 honda delsol. I rebuilt the motor, but when I went to start it, it acted

like it wanted to start.? It acts like it want to start, but it wont turn over. Do you have any idea what might it be. I must put it together right or it would not want to turn over, so could it be a loose connection somewhere or what?

Check your timing. If your distributor is 180 degrees out, it will do that. It's easy to do that, believe me.

2 teeth or 180 off timing. 2 didn't start mine. 1 was just off making it sluggish. Did you check to see it #1 piston was TDC top dead center? We fkkkkked up and had it one tooth on the timing on my 94 Civic Ex the motor as you (1.6) and fukkkkkkked up the coil. After we had the timing right we had no spark and had to replace the coil. I found this problem in some forums too. So be careful but if you get timing right, check to see if you have spark, if not coil might be fukkkkkkkkkked. THen you need to get a new one. Email me if you need. Go to my profile then email me.

Every one is right too, but also make sure you have enough fuel going to the motor and enough air through the throttle.
