Default I need a Code For my Honda Accord Car Radio?

I have a 1998 Honda Accord and yesterday I took the fuse out for the radio to make sure it was still good and went i put the fuse back in and tried to turn on the radio it asked for a code. I didn't know it and tried a whole bunch of numbers until it locked me out and now i dont know what to do. Dont have the book for my car because the guy i had brought it from didnt have it. If there is anyone that knows the code or knows how to fix this please help

thanks

if you can't find that, look inside the glove box on the inside walls. there should be a white sticker that has the 5 digit code on it. that is the anti-theft code. If you don't see any white tags inside the glove box then take the ashtray out and look behind it and if not there, look on the underside of the trunk lid as these were other places that the dealers put the stickers.

If you don't find a sticker with 5 numbers, then there may be a sticker with the 9-10 digit serial number on it. that sticker will have a combination of letters and numbers and may start with the letter F. that can be inside the glove box or in the other places as well. If you find it, then you can call a dealer and give them the serial number and they can look up the antitheft code for you. any honda dealer can do it and you don't have to have purchased the car from them to get them to do it.

if you can't find any stickers anywhere, then your only option is to take the radio out of the dash and get the serial number from the back of the radio. dealers will charge you to take the radio out. or you can do it yourself.

when you do get the code, you get 3 tries to enter the radio code correctly;otherwise you'll get locked out. if that happens, take the negative battery cable off and leave it off for 3 minutes. that will clear the memory of the failed attempts and let you try again.

hope that helps

When the battery dies or has been disconnected it activates the anti-theft system for the radio. Here are some steps to help you out.

1. Look in or on the side of glove box for small sticker with numbers, should be 5 digits with numbers no greater then 6.

2. Pull out the ashtray and see if the sticker is on the back of there.(older models that have them)

3. If you turn off radio and hold the 1 and 6 preset buttons then turn radio on it will give you the serial number. They will ask verifying questions. You may have to pull radio from dash and write down radio serial number and call local dealer with that number and they will be able to get the code for you.

4. If you happen to have all the books from the dealer look in the'HONDA SERVICE HISTORY' book, NOT the owners manual. It should be on the first page in the AUDIO CODE box.

You can go to this site https://radio-navicode.honda.com/ but you will have to prove you own the car. Honda knows if the dealer that you bought it from reported it to them.

the code is 5 digits and could be on a sticker in the glove box: it not

look in your manuals, it may be hand written by someone when the battery was changed, or the Serial number. then you can get the code from Honda

good luck
