if the car is made in Japan then the first letter of the vehicle identification number will be a "J" for Japan. you can find the vehicle identification number at the base of the driver's side windshield post (look into the post through the windshield) or on the label inside the driver's door.
a vehicle identification number with the number 1 at the beginning is a United States manufactured vehicle; the number 2 is a Canadian manufactured vehicle. the number 5 is made in the UK. The hybrids are Japan builds. the S2000 is a Japan only build. Accords are mostly US as are the Pilots and the Ridgelines. The Civics are US and Canadian. The CRV is Japan and UK. Not sure about Odyssey and Elements. hope that helps |

The VIN Number will tell you. Also if you read the inside of the driver's door sill, it will tell you where that particular Honda is made. If you use the VIN, the first number will tell you.
The first letter or number of the VIN will tell you Number 1= US Number 2= Canada Number 3= Mexico Letter J= Japan |
