I just got my oil changed at a local shop and when I got home I checked the dipstick and it's filled about 3/8" above the last dot. It's a 1994 Honda Accord LX Coupe. Is that too much oil? Should I take it back and have them redo it properly?

Realistically, it isn't likely to cause a problem. But it sure isn't right. There is a full mark and a refill mark; anywhere between those is good and anywhere outside the marks is bad. They ought to be able to get it between the lines. The choice is yours, but I suggest taking it back.
