The Integra is made by Acura, a sub of Honda.

Whether you should use this car depends on what you are planning to accomplish.

If you are looking for a driver that also looks good, go for it!

If your looking for a racer, make sure is has the V-Tec, if it doesn't, it would still make a great driver, but for major upgrades stick with the V-Tec. If you don't have one, plan on that as the first upgrade.

These cars are GREAT to upgrade. Parts are cheap and the car is easy to work on and is very reliable.

As far as who and where. Sorry I Live in the US.

the honda integra is a just like any other integra and civic...theres so many swaps that can be done to it and performance upgrades...for us in the usa, its called the acura integra....you can do a any b, h, or even the k series swap into it....could even build it for a forced induction system....there are also lip kits and body kits for it along with suspension upgrades....and since your in aus, you could get things shiped from japan cheaper....

yes they are. firstly the integra isnt just made by acura,as another answerer claimed, acura is another smaller division of the honda motor co. company, focusing on luxury cars, a bit like toyota and lexus. or like vauxhall and holden and opel.

an acura integra is the same as a honda integra, (2002+ dc5 integra called acura rsx) honda will be more tweeked though.

go for the type-r if you want performance, it uses the 195bhp B18C1 vtec engine and is superior to the ls non-vtec version (both 1.8L). parts are readily available and they are capable of 300+bhp with enough money spent.

helpful site, doesnt list teggy for some reason but has parts for B18 engine (look for code B18 on right product description)

A lot of great answers here, all I can say now is make sure the car has VTEC. If you check the badge on the motor, be sure it says "B18C1", that's the GSR, a highly sought motor.

If you ever go for a Civic, my advice is find an EX or Si model, those came out of the factory with VTEC motors, I'm almost certain about that.

Here's a link of Honda motors and the cars they originated from. It'll tell you if they have VTEC or whether they're single cam or dual. Dual cam responds better to bolt-ons because it puts out more acceleration, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
