Hello, I have a 1989 Honda Civic DX. The engine is obviously old and being a pain in the you know what. Since buying it, I put about 4,000 dollars in repairs for maintenance. I've contemplated getting rid of it, but I watsed too much money into it just to get rid of it for almost nothing, you know? So I'd like to know if there's a Vtech for it and maybe some price ranges? Thanks for those who took the time to read and respond

what is v-tech? like the phone brand? v-tech doesnt make engines.

You can do just a flat out swap. You'll need new motor mount spots welded on but just go pull a b16 vtec out of another honda and slap it in.

Just do a B series swap. GSR or ITR. You will be happy for now, and the aftermarket is there to support it.

K24 type R is good..it gona cost u (Expensive) though and not really practical for a street car.. but it will do just fine!!

you could do a d16z6 swap, d16z6 is what came stock in the 92-95 Civic Si(hb)/Ex coupe// or you could possibly do a d15b vtec swap.































its not too much power but its nice for a older honda civic it would be a decent swap, it would add vtec too.
