...battery quicker? Honda Civic ESI 93 vtec. No warning lights on the dash. I got a battery charger and charged it over night and even though the car starts the central locking only opens one door and not all 4. But while the car is running all doors open with driver side door. Is it just battery thats goner or perhaps something more?
It appears that it may be related to the central locking/alarm that drains the battery, rusted wire?? ground contact hmmm |

well, something is draining the power, check all your interior lamps, (it took me a week to discover teh wifes cars probs were all due to youngest daughter turning the rear compartment lamp on...
if all lamps etc are off, then check the battery connections and fluid levels... (Batteries dont last forever) and finally, if all that is OK< then look at your alternator/and belt... |

I have a new civic and during the first 4 months of owning it, the battery flattened twice. The first time I think was down to the hatchback not being closed fully, causing the boot light to stop on. The second time I couldn't find any real reason except one of the heated seat switches was left on. This shouldn't have caused it as the seat heating only works when the engine is running, but that's all I could find. The problem has never happened again, so its a civic mystery, good luck with yours.
