I assume you mean some "radiator" fluid (coolant) came out with the transmission fluid?
Without looking at it, I'm only venturing a guess here. If the transmission fluid "came out all at once", it sounds like the transmission drain plug fell out. As far as coolant being in the transmission fluid, most automatic transmissions have two lines that go to a tank on the (usually) bottom of the radiator, for cooling purposes. Maybe the tank cracked/rusted through, allowing coolant to mix with the transmission fluid. Mr. S, as far as the plug falling out, this was a problem out here with people getting oil changes at Wal-mart. The employees wasn't tightening the oil drain plug properly, and customers were having the drain plug fall out on them. Now the Walmart's out here are using a vacuum pump system to remove the old oil from the dip stick tube. http://www.my3cents.com/showReview.cgi?id=56900 |

sounds like a cooler line/ radiator let go. transmission fluid gets pumped through the radiator to cool it. if those lines corrode/ break, it'll pump the transmission dry in less than a minute. you should be able to see where it's coming from. is it at the bottom of the radiator? if so, thats likely the problem. the fittings tend to corrode. transmission should be ok.
