Im Debating if i should turbo my single cam d16z6 or if i should just get a whole swap?? somehow i prefer a turbo because im sure it'll be cheaper and less of a hassle if a shop does it. and i have a baby thatll be here soon so could use money for that situation but i dont plan on doing this some time soon probably til tax season

im guessing u have a older hatch (94ish?). i'd say do the swap. IMO, turbos decrease the reliability of an engine and it takes time for the turbo to kick in. im a Natural Aspiration person. for the swap, you have a bunch of choices. B18 (integra type-r), K20 (rsx-s), H22 (prelude), and the newest comer, J35 (odyssey engine). it's all up to your preference

depends on your hp goals, if you're just looking to get around 300 hp or lower than I think you should just turbo the d16 but if you want as much hp as possible than you should swap
I say just swap it, you'll be much happier with the results |
