I hydroplaned into a ditch recently that had lots of water, mud, and weeds in it. The car was towed and when I picked it up it ran fine. The next morning it initially only had Park, neutral, reverse, and second gear. Then it starting shifting fine all day and night. This morning it did it all over again but it isn't correcting itself. Can anyone help?

Sounds to me like the transmission is gonna have to be replaced. it could have been something you hit in the ditch or theres a small chance the tow people messed it up if they towed ut wrong but im betting there was something in the ditch. sorry to deliver bad news but i think the transmission is finished.
