Default Cambelt noisier (professional mechanics only please) as this is a technical problem!?

Hi there

I had the cambelt of my car replaced (HONDA ODYSSEY 1999 / 2.3 ltrs eng) some more technical details if it help ! (model RA3 / eng. F23A).

It was a full thorough job; parts replaced: cambelt, idler, cambelt tensioner, balance shaft belt, balance shaft tensioner, water pump.

The problem is : That the engine became noticably noisier (reving higher) than it was before replacing the cambelt.

Can someone advise what is the remedy please?

so what if the balance shaft is tight, can anything be done since it is auto tensioner?

The balance belt may be too tight. This belt is a little sloppy when installed correctly. If the cam belt is off a tooth the engine won't run properly.

Hope this helps.

If it is now noisy then the job was not dun right.

It should have no noise at all. Ether have it redone by the place that did the job, or someone else. and sue the place that did the job.

Be careful if you do not offer the place that did the job to recheck there work, and you sue them , thy can say well she never gave us a chance to check it out. If thy refuse to do it and you have another shop check it out, then you have proof thy refused to check there work.

At no time should a belt make any noise after the job is dun. Did the shop give you back the old parts?Check it out.
