Default Why did honda stop making the prelude?

Hey everyone I was just wondering why they pulled the plug on the prelude.

How do they compare to Civic SI's/integras/RSXs?

Thank you for your time.

So the performance had nothing to do with it?

Poor sales and good sales of the Accord coupe.

Honda was saturating its own market. They had the Accord coupe and the Acura Integra as well as the Prelude in the 2-door market which is itself somewhat of a niche market.
