Default rumble after timing belt replaced

My new mechanic replaced the timing belt and water pump on our 99 Accord 4 cyl. but now there is a vibration noise (rumble) on the one motor mount when i start the car or put it in reverse. Driving it i don't notice it.

He thinks it's from repositioning the motor mount slightly or because it is slightly worn.

Will this cause problems over time or will it fix itself as it seats and adjusts to the new position?

Default Re: rumble after timing belt replaced

With the added safety benefit of knowing that if a frontal or head-on collision was to occur, the motor bay was designed to allow the motor to drop down avoiding having it pushed into the cabin area. This being said, you're most likely to be correct in your assumption as the mount will take a bit of time to re-seat itself and will be audibly noticeable.

Enjoy your Honda!
