Default Is it a bad thing to get enhanced spark plugs for my 97 Prelude? I know the mfg has a

recommendation, but...? do we really have to stick to that one specific spark plug type that is recommended by the Honda mfg? what if i want to try a higher output spark plug?

I heard the same about air intakes, that intakes can damage the engine due to the power output. This seems totally crazy to me, as Honda engines are known for taking rough driving, etc.

enhanced plugs arent going to increase the electricity pumped through the plug. brand doesnt matter a ton but make sure everything is gapped properly.

no too much power will definitely not mess up your intake, whoever said that doesnt understand how engines work or is talking about a boosted vehicle. is yours turbo? if so then cranking up the boost can damage your intake gaskets, but your plugs-wont.

Depends

Plugs have a heat rating so be careful what you just go sticking in there.

if the plug is to Hot you can actually burn a hole in the piston.

you can go a little hotter if they oil up but be careful.

A hotter plug in general will not make the car go faster
