Default 97 Prelude odometer

Hi.
I just purchased a 97 Lude. Was hoping someone could help me with a few issues.

Firstly, the odometer seems to be connected to the trip, and the kms is going up every 100 metres rather than every km.
So this is an example:
The odometer reads 132,001 -- then the 1 at the end will go up with the trip each 100 metres...Once it gets to 132,009 after driving 9 metres from 132,000, it goes back to zero& is agian at 132001.

So basically 2 issues there:
1) the odometre goes up in the overall milage every 100m;
2) it doesnt move beyond 132,00x

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance guys
