Default Replace rear brake for honda civic?

I am trying to replae the rear rotor, but I don't not know if it is a rear brake shoes or pads on my car. Anyone has done work on a Honda Civic year 2000 DX 4 doors, and be able to tell me if they come with pads or shoes? I need help to identify the right parts in order to purchase the replacement parts, thanks.

go take a look at the back and if you see shiny discs like these then you have rotors and youll need to buy pads. If not you have drums and need shoes. I had a 95 ex civic and it had drums, but some have discs. If you have abs then you most likely have discs alsohttp://images.search.yahoo.com/searc...-web&fr=ytff1-

since you mentioned a rotor, that implies that you are dealing with disk brakes. with disc brakes you have pads. if this is not the case and you just called the part by the wrong name, rotor in stead of drum then you have pads. ill simplify if i have said too much. rotors use pads adn drum brakes use shoes.

You have answered your own question hereIf it is a rear rotor that you need to replace then logic would dictate that it is a disc brake which uses pads, a drum brake would indicate shoes. What state do you reside in?I do not want you to be following me if you need to ask this ridiculous question hereTake it to a reputable shop, lest you injure or kill an innocent victim of your ignorance
