i jut wanna know if an auto and maual ecu the same?????because i have a 5 speed civic, but i think im not sure it might have an auto ecu....can someone please explain?????? side effects???

not the same. you can use it in a stick but they are designed to regulate the engines needs against the constant resistance of an auto. I had a buddy that did a motor swap on his honda and had to send the ecu back 3 times before he got one for a stick. Didn't run crappy, just a lot of popping, stuttering, etc. They are designed to run richer fuel levels than the 5 speed's.
