the bulb conversions are simply changing the light bulbs so it looks like HID's. if you do that it will look like you have HID but it will actually be not as bright because its the same bulb you have on your car now but with a light blue film over it thats it. spend the extra money to get the conversion kit with the boxes they'll last longer and be blue like you want and also since they're actually real HID's your lights will be brighter!

Um, no. The HID bulbs will burn if you don't have the HID kit. Your car's wiring is not made to support HIDs. THAT is why there is the harness and all that.So if you decide to just buy the bulbs, they'll go out on you every few days and you'd have to replace them. Just invest the 90$ in a decent HID kit.
