Default How long will a Honda Civic si last me?

just got an 09 si sedan. i VTEC it once in a while and i always feel bad afterwards..(like i took a little bit of life off the car by doing that)plus im also like 18, so i dont have the best stick shift driving routine going on...its a daily driver( abt 40 miles a day)so my question, since i plan on having this car for a long while, any honda or acura owners, especially people who owned sport models, how long will the car run without any problems?

Dude you got one of the best and most reliable cars on the market. I am a civic owner and have had the same 1993 model since 1999 and it runs perfect. Of course I gave some modifications just because I wanted more speed. I use to race imports. The SI kicks butt, so just learn how to quick shift and stop granny shifting, don't ride the clutch. And keep the tune ups and oil change on time. Dude your kids can be driving this car later and it still look and run like the first day you got it.

with PERFECT maintenance any car will last forever, but once they get old enough, which is different miles depending on how you maintained it, it will start costing more then its worth.its not the toughest car in the world not even close... try to vw bug, the 2cv, dodge slant 6 etc... "granny shifting not double clutching like your supposed to"lmao stop watching the fast and the furious
