i have the rockford fosgate p1 subs (pair) and dont make enough deep bass and cannot even pass down 40 hz i think its the box because it was a little less than 1 cubic feet so the specs say the 1.80 cubic feet is the largest one so maybe makin a bigger box will make better bass. also thinking of getting a 400 watt rms hifonics amp and there only 300 rms. DO YOU THINK ILL BLOW THEM????

the 400 watt amp should work fine your speakers wont blow.. if fact it would sound really nicedid you check the settings on your amp? check your low pass filter.. filter out all of the treblealso your box.. is it air tight? just make sure that your speakers are screwed to the box tight.

your box may in fact be too small i used to have a few Punch HE's back in the day wich is close to what you have now they sounded best at 1.25 cuft.

your wattage is no problem as long as you do not have your gain over too far to where clipping would insue. another thing alot of people dont look at is speaker displacement if your speaker displaces .2 feet and you have a 12x12x12 box you would only have .8 cuft box space.

i would suggest a larger box.
