newbie with a 98 vtec hatchback black smoke? valves?
i just got a 98 civic hatchback vtec when reving even a little bit black smoke is visable and you can smell the burning oil in the car at stops. valve burt? adjustment? the smoke isnt poring out but before i get a smog i want to make sure i can fix this issue first.. thanks any info is greatly appreciated.. the car has headers , cold air intake , but stock exhaust after the headers.. also the motor was swapped out at some point.
