Your description "auto BMW 3 series" is too vague. What year/engine is it? If it's an older 4 cylinder model, you'll destroy it. If it's a new 330 with the turbo, it'll destroy you. Anything in between will vary.

Google performance specs on both, the Civic si should easily outperform the 3 series BMW. Keep in mind, despite it's 197 HP, the Civic is a manual shift, and you have to be really, really good to out-shift an automatic transmission.

You should not be racing at all in my opinion. As it IS illegal. Unless you plan on going to a legalized drag track, then go all out! Otherwise, I would greatly advise against it. Also, as a previous person answered, if it is the turbo'd BMW, chances are you'll be destroyed unless the person has bad judgment and thinks the straight-a-way curves 90 degrees to the right. Otherwise, you may have a shot at beating it. Don't get your hopes up though.Be careful.BB2
