97 Civic Engine will not fire
Hey guys, I was hoping that someone might be able to offer a bit of insight for me.
I have a 97 Civic DX with about 140K miles. Engine is turning over but will not fire.
I replaced the plugs and the wires. Plugs are properly gaped. Brand new (3 weeks old) distributor, cap, button, coil, module, etc.
I have juice getting to the plugs. I have plenty of gas with plenty of pressure getting to the fuel rail. But I don't have any fire.
As I said, the distributor was entirely replaced 3 weeks ago, as I ran through 2 coils in 2 months so I replaced the distributor. Actually my mechanic did that as I didn't want to tackle timing it, but I digress. It worked fine for 3 weeks, now nothing. The coil in the new distributor isn't the problem, as I replaced it and still nothing.
I put the new plugs in, still wouldn't start. Pulled them out and the ends do smell like gas.
Any ideas or suggestions at what I could look into next would be greatly appreciated! I'm kinda at a loss here. The only thing I can figure is to pull off the injectors and clean them, but they were supposedly flushed about 6 months ago.
