I am borrowing my sisters 97 honda civic its an automatic. i am unsure if i am suppose to be using D3 or D4. I have a 03 civic and use D which her civic does not have. i dont want to mess her car up so which one should i be using?Thanks

use d4, all that means is that you will allow the transmission to shift up to the 4th gear, the overdrive if you will. you will get better gas milleage and the rpms will be lower.if you use d3, you only allowing the transmission to shift of to the third gear, thus getting worse gas milage.
