my honda prelude makes a loud noise that comes from the engine.its not the belts. some dude tells me that a piston is lose but the car makes 180prs on every spary plugg hole. some one help me do i need a new engine or wut

When was your last valve adjustment.

Check all of the pulleys on the vehicle. A lot of times, a bad alternator bearing or a/c pulley can make it sound like a motor is bad. Honda a/c compressors aren't the greatest so start from there. You may need to remove the serpentine belt and check for play on each pulley.

hondas dont have surpentean belts..anyways it could be that your valves are tapping cuz there out of adjustment,could be low on oil.you have to try and deciede if its coming from the top of the engine or the bottom also go on youtube.com and type in honda blown bottom end sound or something like that and just keep listening to the video see witch one sounds most like yours i guess..its like impossible for anyone online to tell you what ur hearing ya kno..it could be your valves,injectors,loose pulleys,pistons,bearings,no oil in your car,exhuast leak like it could be alot of things and if you dont really kno what the noise is then its hard to say.but if that guy told you it was a bad piston then thats probubly what it was and if you do buy a new engine get a jdm one there low mileged and faster than usdm specs www.hmotorsonline.com also if your car kind of sounds like a deasle engine then probubly you spun a bearing on your crankshaft if it sounds like the bottom of the engine if it sounds like the top then it is probubly your valves out of adjustment if you do the work yourself its fairly easy if its the valves.. check out www.honda-tech.com there is alot of websites that will tell you everything your asking on here especially since you own a prelude
