Yes Perfectly they are... I had used civic 05, back in Berkley incidently with the same wheels but a different color :-)u know what i mean.... anyway they worked perfectly fine and the looks are killing... just be a bit more carefull on bumps rest its gonna kill... girls will die for ur rims more than for the car

Not really, you are reducing the side wall too much which specially for civic is not recommended. Try limiting it to 45 with 205 width.I have used 205/45/R17 and they also look low profile although not to the extent you are going for but still they are cool.

If your original tires were a 185/70/14, the next size would be a 195/65/ 15, then a 205/55/16, then your 17" tire size would be a 215/50/17. All of these tires have a different rim size but they all have the same outside tire diameter. Going with a 205/40/17 is a shorter tire with the possibility of giving you erroneous speedometer readings. Take it for what its worth. Best of luck.
