Not much, insurance companies charge by what the vehicles were manufactured for. Sports cars are the most expensive as people tend to be reckless with them and get tickets or over estimate their abilities and cause accidents. Sedans and trucks are cheaper because they're "working class" vehicles that people tend to be more careful with while driving. As for exact rates, those will vary on your location. For me it only costs $100 a month for basic coverage or $200 for full on my suburban, and the rate was the same when I had a civic sedan.
