87 Honda Accord
I am having issues with my new (but used)87 Honda Accord. It's automatic, 4 cylinder, has approx. 200k km's on it. It was running pretty good until recently, which has the following issue:
Sometimes When i want to start it, i have to rev it until it wants to idle.. it is a low-idling car.. i do this for a few minutes it runs fine.. but yeah it would just stall and i would have to restart. I try not to flood it but i was told the auto choke might get stuck so i had someone look at it and put something in it to keep it open. i was told this would fix it guaranteed. well it ran good but then here is the other part to my problem which happened today.
Ok this hasn't happened until like last week or so.. but sometimes the car wouldn't let me go past 80 or 90 km's/hr. It would shake/shudder, slow down, rev up, etc. but i would have to ease off the gas or slap it into neutral for a bit and try again.
Helpful advice would be appreciated. Please help me i am not that mechanically inclined, but i do know some people that are. I would take it to a shop but i want to do some more research first.
I hope I gave enough information about all this, if not leave a post i will reply. thank you for your time
