Default What Honda should I get?

I am about to buy a used car, possibly a certified used. I am thinking about getting a Honda, as I hear they last forever with hardly any problems. While doing research I see that some of the 2008 Accords have rear brake problems, and that older Hondas hold up better. That's good news for me, but I'm gonna have a hard time shelling out big bucks for someone's 1992 Civic with 170,000 miles on it, even if it does run well. So I'm asking, what newer model should I get? Obviously not the 2008 Accord...

if you dont want the accord you dont have much choice, either an accord or a civic from honda. they dont have any other sedans. dont get an old car with a zillion miles even if its a honda.

Accord, Civic, Crv. They're all good. I drive an 04 Accord with 120k miles and it's awesome. I have gotten 39 mpg during hwy cruising but I average about 26. That's good. I also owned a 96 Accord. It was also impressively reliable. Just find one you like in good condition.

Try buying something else because a 1992 is too old and will cost lots of money to maintain. You are right, Honda's built after 2007 are problematic. I mentioned it and got thumbs down from tons of Honda owners. I would suggest a 2003-2007 Saturn Ion. I work on cars all day long and that seems to be the best used vehicle.

Honda Accord and Civic are two reliable models, which has good reputation in performance and fuel efficiency. If you are planning to buy Accord go for the 1998 - 2006 models. In case of Civic there is not much changes in the body style in later years. Also check for Honda fit, it is the most fuel efficient honda in present market. In short if you are buying a used honda, i will recommend not to go for one with the high mileage like 170,000 it is no better than kia or hyundia.

Don't get the civic years 2000 - 2005. the 2001 and 2002 have bad transmissions in them. Maybe you should get a Ford Mustang instead.

Just get a 1997 Honda Civic 3DR DX then put a B18C engine on it.
