hi i just recently took a full greddy turbo kit out of my dads 1997 civic DX 1.6l non vtec 5SPD and put it in my 1994 civic EX 1.6 sohc vtec AUTOMATIC.

i have no aftermarket computer or programing controlling it. and the problem is when i drive it it has a hesitation and then when it gets going it seems like it boosts up too quick....another problem it does is when you stop after driving it around and you put it into park it idle jumps from normal around 1000 rpm to around 2000 so its almost as if you are revving it lightly.

when the turbo was in my dads car it still had no aftermarket ecu or program to control it and it had done the same thing mine did ONCE (idle jumps,hesitation,)
and it was already in stalled in his for around 1000 miles before it had any problem..i have not had my car tested yet to see what code it reads for the problem but my dad did when it happened to him and his read that the map sensor was causing it. but it happened once and went away (he never replaced the sensor)

if it is my map sensor what should i do? that sounds dumb but if i put a new one in thats made for a stock civic wont it screw it up again? do i need to get something like an Emanagement first or is their any other map sensor that will work and not cause it to do that again? any information is appreciated,thanks
