depends what model the accord is. Is it a sedan or a coupe? what kind of engine does it have? 4cyl or v-6? Go to www.kbb.com and put in the information of the vehicle you are looking at to see if the price that is offered is a relatively fair deal. But in my opinion, that price seems right.

Honda had transmission problems in 2001, have it checked out before you buy it, otherwise sounds good

You should absolutely be able to find a lower milage same year accord for less than that price. I usually check ebay "completed listings" and look for the price that other cars of the same year have sold for. Also, you can check Craigslist.org for your specific area to see what people are asking for in terms of price. Always check the kbb.com site for suggested pricing as per the car's specific options. Don't let the dealers dupe you. I've been down that road before. Do the homework and make the right move. Honda Accords are great cars, I've owned 2 of that particular body style and generation. Both were excellent vehicles. No matter what, it may be worth it to pay your mechanic to check out the vehicle before purchasing.

Your getting ripped off. Unless it is turboed or has an engine swap with good mods.I got my integra ls for $2,100 with 197,000 miles. It needed nothing.

that vehicle will push 400k miles IF you keep up with maintenance, it should be just fine but talk them down to 3k-trust me they will. AND DONT BUY IT FROM A BUY HERE PAY HERE-IF YOU DOUBT ME THEN LOOK UP AS TO WHY-I PROMISE WITHIN 1 YEARS TIME YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU BUY A CAR FROM A BUY HERE PAY HERE.

get a carfax first...and definetly research transmission issues in 2001 hondas...

but even so, you can get a newer car with less miles for that kinda money.
