I have a white 2000 honda civic ex that I am planning on getting tinted. I'm stuck between 20% all around or 20%(rear) 35%(front) I live in PA so If anyone lives in PA that's great. If not that's okay too. I just want your opinions on how you think it would look and if its worth taking a chance at getting pulled over or just stay safe with keeping 35% on the fronts. All comments are welcome, I am very stuck with what I want.

I wouldn't recommend anything except the state legal max. No legitimate tint shop will do it as they can lose their license. In many states they have to put their ID on the drivers glass. The resulting tickets can also be expensive and I have known a half dozen people who were handed a scraper by the officer who told them to "Either scrape it or it will be towed" while he wrote the ticket for the violation.

i got a 2000 Honda Civic EX too. i just got it in April. is my first car actually. i recently got the windows tinted and i had a hard time deciding on what percent also. I ended up going with limo all around and they look real nice. ive had cops pull up next to me both in the day and night and none have pulled me over. at night all tints go dark so it doesnt matter and i mean in the day, the front two door windows are never gonna be super dark even mine that are limo because of all the light that is coming in through the front window. I live in Houston btw.Good luck!

I live in PA as well but don't know what the law is because I never cared enough to find out. Tinting my windows real dark in the front would not be an option. I live close to the NJ border and they are strict in NJ about that so if I ever wanted to sell the car, it could make the difference of selling it to a NJ resident or not.Check with the authorities. PA passes a lot of laws that they don't seem to enforce, like putting your headlights on in a work zone or putting your head lights on at sundown or on a gray day. It's on the books but I have never heard of anyone being ticketed for not obeying it!

PA's tint laws make the legal tint very light.STATE - PAFRONT - 70% SIDES REAR - 70%SIDES BACK - 70%WINDOW VISOR NET/FILM - NO NET I have 35% F /20% R on my '03 Accord. I think it looks good, but I'd probably go darker the next time. I chose this tint combo, since it's illegal for any % of tint on the front driver's or passenger's windows... never got pulled over, yet.If you want to be safe do the 35%F, 20% R combo. If you're more of a rebel, do the 20% all around. Either way, it's going to look sweet!
