Default 94 & 95, and 96 & 97 Accords question.?

I read somewhere that the 96 Accords got updated to OBDii. Now if I were to buy a H22A OBDi, would I need to somehow convert the motor to OBDii to swap it into the 96 Accord? or would it be fine to use the motor as it is on the car without doing any converting?Just wondering because you can't put a OBDii into a OBDi car unless you convert it, I am wondering if it's the same for OBi to OBDiiRan out of amount of questions I can ask today. So I'm just going to add this one here: If I were to swap out a engine from a automatic car containing a automatic transmission and all. And replace it with a different engine and a manual transmission for that car, would it be like replacing a manual car with a manual transmission to start with? Or would I need to do other things because there's still some automaticness in the car? Sorry if this is confusing, hope you are trying to get my point.

You can't legally put an OBD1 engine in an OBD2 car, but the swap can still be done. You will probably fail the smog test since each is connected differently. Also, if you have an automatic and you convert to a manual tranny, you'll have to get a clutch and start cutting. you will need the third pedal (aka clutch pedal) and the center console will need to either be fabricated or replaced. Also, if your car is not an Accord EX, you don't have VTEC. Therefore you would have to worry about the wiring harness for that as well- if you don't have the EX Accord. there's more to it than I have mentioned but you get the idea.

question1You can not convert an engine to OBD2 or OBD1You convert the car not the engineThe H22 can still run in your car, all you need is a ecu jumper like this onehttp://www.customcarscentral.com/skr...-.htmlquestion 2If you're putting a engine from an automatic car into a car with a manual tranny, the engine run the same with an automatic tranny or a manual tranny, the only issue is the automatic flywheel won't work with the manual tranny, just make sure your manual tranny comes with the clutch and flywheel
