lets say a metallic black on a honda civic hatchback? how much would it cost.

roughly around 2-3 grand.. If you do all the sanding and bondo its cheaper. maybe a little over haft of whats the complete paint job.Or if you don't care about your car. You can take it to Macco. they have a simplest paint job ever offer... no more than 1000 but they only spray the paint. sanding and bondo cost more..

This seems to be a popular question lately. It all depends on the quality of the paint job and the condition of the body. Assuming the body of the car is in good condition, a factory type paint job will cost at least $2000. There are places like MAACO that will paint it for as little as $199, but the quality of the job is horrible. It's like anything else, you get exactly what you pay for.

The body shop around my way in NJ cost $199 base paint. But if you want the high class then its going to cost $2000+.
