Street Racing. Which honda civic is best for street raceing.

road racing or drag racing ?

depends what type of racing circut or drag? personally i wouldnt even bother with a civic

Casual racing down your street? Risky, but any Civic is possible. With the right performance parts and driver you can be the "king" of your street.I personally like the 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si. Keep it clean with the stock look and just upgrade the motor. Don't get to caught up into the all show and no go era.

Any Si specially from 99-09+but if u want a racing civic the 99 si u can find a cheap one from 4500-6000 on craiglistsave the money up buy a good turbo kitor get a newer (06-09)si and they have good accelaration,top speed,and handling but the best 1 u can get will b a 06 not sure bought the years Acura Rsx-S they have better n stronger engine then the newwer civics n more Hpbut depending how much u want to wast a 99-00 with turbo n oother bolt ons would b the cheapest

Long story short here. I used to street race and was pretty good at it and fast. My car of choice was a 92-95 civic hatchback it was gutted other then dash GSR with blox(cheap) intake manigolf 62mm tb and turbo kit making 340whp on 10psi stock bottom end I ran high 11's and was great there 3 keys here first is weight lighter is better 2nd is power if you make 200whp and weigh 1600lbs you can run low 11's not saying you ever going do that in weight, but and avg of 550-650whp and 1800-1900lbs is whatI equal to low 10s on the street with a large tire. 3rd is traction you have the weight down you have the power no you need the full drag suspension tire and street prep vht to hook up dont forget the traction bars.
