If you invest in the equipment and do it yourself, the parts from your local auto parts store will only cost you about $45 for the timing belt and $30 for the tensioner belt. Don't be tricked into replacing the water pump if there's no leak along the gear; just replace the water pump rubber seal for just $2. The rubber seal will eventually leak but the water pump will continue to function well.A water pump is nothing more than a gear that spins the fins on the other side to help move the water like a water wheel. A new one can cost you $45 so replacing one that's not leaking at the gears will be a waste of funds.http://hondacivicrepairs.com/timing_...ic&id=26Buying the parts first and looking for a shop to do the labor could also save you money. Otherwise, you can expect the cost to soar anywhere above $400.Good luck!
