It depends on which country and what model car you get the b20 from but generally the b18 has more standard hp. ckeck this website hope it helps http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_B20A_engine

B20A has more hp than a B16/B18 is wrong in my opinion.B20A is a DOHC non-VTEC motor,the Japanese Version B20A(JDM GOLD TOP B20A 1986-1987 Prelude Si) 160 hp (119 kW) @ 6300 rpm & 186 N·m @ 4000 rpm, using PH3 ECU(JDM BLACKTOP B20A 1988-1989) 145 hp (108 kW) @ 6300 rpm & 186 N·m @ 4000 rpm, using PH3 ECUJDM B20A specs:# Displacement: 1958 cc * bore: 81 mm (3.2 in) * stroke: 95 mm (3.7 in)# Compression: 9.4:1; 9.5:1B16's/B18's vary by engine code but here are rough figures.B16's are about 150hp-185hp stock.B18's are about 130hp-200hp stockConsidering the JDM B20A is 145-160hp i would say most B16's B18's are more powerful.although in some cases the B20A would be more powerful like this B18A1 = 130hp vs B20A(JDM) = 145-160hpbut that is very good hp for the B20A considering its non-VTEC and most other B16/18's are VTEC.

The B20a came in the Prelude. It is not your standard B series motor. Its like comparing a D15b to a B18c1.
